"Yossi & Jagger" to be shown in Italy and London
After the successful Panorama screenings at the Berlin International Film Festival, "Yossi & Jagger" has been invited to participate at the official competition of the Turin Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.
The festival will open in April 20th, and "Yossi & Jagger" will be screened on April 23rd at 10 pm and on April 24th at 6:15 pm. The closing ceremony will take place on April 25th.
During the Berlin International Film Festival lot of distributors showed interest in the film. Eventually the film was purchased by the Italian distribution company Metacinema, and will open in Rome and Milan first and later nation-wide during late May 2003. Director Eytan Fox and leading actors Yehuda Levi and Ohad Knoller will attend the premiere screenings.
On top of this and the planned U.S release by Strand releasing later this fall, the London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival invited the film and producer Gal Uchovsky to participate in the festival that will be held between April 2nd and April 16th. "Yossi & Jagger" will be screened on April 6th at 6:30 pm.
