Yossi & Jagger - Jerusalem Int'l Film Festival The drama, Yossi & Jagger, has been accepted to the Television Drama Awards in Memory of Anat Pirchi at the Jerusalem International Film Festival. Yossi & Jagger will be screened on Wednesday, July 23rd.
Jerusalem International Film Festival is Israel's most prestigious event. The festival, founded 19 years ago, and headed by Mrs. Lia Van Leer. Many great filmmakers and their films have attended the festival during his many years of existence.
Yossi & Jagger deals with the complex relationships between soldiers at a remote outpost, that intensifies when the soldiers are preparing for another nightly ambush.
Yossi & Jagger, as well as being two officers commanding the soldiers at the outpost, are lovers, trying to keep their love affair secret. The third officer in the outpost, Ofir, is in love with Yaeli, the operations sergeant, but she has her heart set on Jagger.
Yossi & Jagger was intended to be a 50 minutes drama, and was produced with the sponsorship of the Israeli Cable Programming (ICP), got the approval to be longer, and is now 65 minutes long.
The movie, besides of its broadcast, as a part of Rishon Badrama - ICP's Original Israeli Creation strip - at the end of this year, will be premiered in Jerusalem and later on will be screened at the Tel-Aviv Cinematheque in a special screening with the film's actors and creators.
