Yossi & Jagger - A New Drama
These days a new Israeli drama is been shot for channel 3. The drama is to be broadcasted on the winter of 2002.
The drama Yossi & Jagger is the result of a cooperation between Avner Bernheimer, screenwriter, and Eyan Fox, director. Yossi & Jagger deals with the complex relationships between soldiers at a remote outpost, that intensifies when the soldiers are preparing for another nightly ambush.
Yossi & Jagger, as well as being two officers commanding the soldiers at the outpost, are lovers, trying to keep their love affair secret. The third officer in the outpost, Ofir, is in love with Yaeli, the operations sergeant, but she has her heart set on Jagger. The pressure in the base is mounting as the night draws closer, and an explosion is only a matter of time.
Though the movie is set in a military atmosphere, the creators have been refused any help from the IDF.
Yossi & Jagger is intended to be a 50 minutes drama and is produced with the sponsoring of the Israeli Cable Programming (ICP), and is to be broadcast as a part of Rishon Badrama, Original Israeli Creation strip at the end of this year.
